Training
Extensive on-site training is provided for the Rx3000 Software System. Both written and oral training is conducted in English.
An initial “super-user” training session is provided for the system coordinator and key staff approximately one month before the final go-live. The super-user training is recommended for the system coordinator and selected supervisory, management, or instructor personnel responsible for on-going training of users.
Rx3000 training consists of overall system indoctrination; including features and functions, data entry and retrieval procedures, report generation, database and systems management, and access security. The balance of on-site training is typically conducted with as many end user staff as possible during the weekend prior to go-live. This user training consists of 4 hours hands-on-in-the-drivers-seat instruction in a classroom setting. Primary day-to-day functions needed in the pharmacy, such as order entry or approval, is covered. A training checklist is provided for each user to help in directing and documenting their training. Our support staff is on-site during the training and “go-live” stage of installation, and usually remain for the first 2-3 days of live production.
In addition, we have proposed follow-up on-site training for the pharmacy staff approximately 45 days after production go-live. This follow-up training provides a review of the comprehensive system functionality and adjustments to system set-up can be made based on new experience with the application. Additional on-site training may be requested at prevailing service rates.
We recommend scheduling annual on-site re-training for the pharmacy staff and training following significant personnel changes. A review of system functionality improves the utilization of the pharmacy program and effectiveness of the staff. Additional on-site Rx3000 training is available on request (8 hour minimum) at prevailing rates and travel expense. A specific agenda can be developed to address particular requirements.
Additional training is not usually necessary in conjunction with the release of most software enhancements and new procedures. New information is provided through routine support services via technical letters, on-line information, etc. If a new release contained program changes significant enough to require additional training, and/or training was requested by the client, appropriate on-site training would be available at prevailing rates and reimbursement of related travel expense.
