About Pharmacy Computer Services, Inc.
What We Do
Pharmacy Computer Services, Inc. (PCSI) were founded by six practicing pharmacists in 1978. At first, the six founders wanted only to automate their own pharmacies, and so in 1977 began development of their own community system. Months later, a central computer was set up to provide on-line access for all four sites, to their by-then newly completed Rx3000 Community Pharmacy System. This worked well, so in 1978 PCSI was formed to put Rx3000 on the market.
A lot of things have changed since those six pharmacists first got together. Computer systems have come a long way, and so has PCSI. We now manage pharmaceutical data for thousands of pharmacies across the United States and Canada. Our products are used in university and pediatric hospitals, long term care institutions, HMOs, clinics and private pharmacies. We are growing more than ever, and we never stop looking for new and better ways to produce new and better software.
